Volunteers needed for Exeter’s Christmas Lights Switch-on Event

Thursday 16th November 2017

Volunteers are needed to act as stewards at this year’s Christmas Lights Switch-on. The event will feature a large stage in Princesshay Square where live music will be performed from 4pm. At 6:30pm, players from Exeter Chiefs will press the button and the Christmas lights across the city centre will be illuminated, heralding the start of the festive period in the Exeter. The live music will continue on-stage until 7pm.

To help us manage our audience safely, we need a team of enthusiastic and friendly stewards to help and advise the public, ensuring the event runs smoothly.

We will give you a full briefing, making sure you know what’s going on and can answer questions from the audience attending the event. We will ask you to wear a Hi-Viz jacket, and stand at key locations around the event area so you can be spotted in the crowd and the audience know you are someone they can ask for help or advice.

If you would like to be a part of Exeter’s biggest Christmas event, we would like you to join us from 3:15pm until approximately 7:15pm on Thursday 16th November.

If interested, please contact Mark Barretto (Exeter BID Coordinator) via email: mark@exeterbid.co.uk

More information on can be found on the Christmas Lights Switch-on website.
