Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

University of Exeter invitation - 'How Should We Do Culture Together?' February 28th, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm Exeter Corn Exchange

The University of Exeter is refreshing its approach to arts & culture and has issued a public invitation to an Open Space event.

Where and when: 28 February from 9:30am - 4:30pm, Exeter Corn Exchange, Market Street, Exeter, EX1 1BW

The University of Exeter is refreshing its approach to Arts & Culture. Its research, impact and educational activities engage with people in many different ways; through its internal and external networks of alumni, staff and cultural partnerships; and the student body which is an integral part of the cultural life around our campuses in Exeter and Cornwall. But we recognise that the University could be better connected, and more mutually supportive of the exciting, distinctive cultural life of the region. To that end we are inviting you to join us for a day’s conversation and action at Exeter Corn Exchange. We want to work, share and think together in new and beneficial ways. We want to hear the suggestions and challenges, the stories of success and hidden opportunities that you think could shape the University’s activity. We want to hear your response to the question ‘how should we do culture together?’

As the University says - 'Its research, impact and educational activities engage people in many different ways, but we recognise that the University could be better connected, and more mutually supportive of the exciting, distinctive cultural life of the region'.

Hi, tried to send them a comment to how.we.do.culture@gmail.com but 'it doesn't exist'.  How can we get in touch, please?  Thanks!  N.

Hello Naomi - I'll email John Hartley at UoE and let him know and ask him to amend the email. Thanks for letting me/us know this doesn't work. ~M

PS Naomi - the address is 'how.do.we.do.culture@gmail'.  Did you try this? Your message above says 'how.we.do.culture@gmail.com'.  Please double check.  If it doesn't work post again and I'll try JH. ~M

Thanks - no, I didn't try that, because I copied and pasted it from their own site!  They have emailed me to say they got it wrong.  I'll try the new one.  Thanks, Martyn.
