Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

SW Federation of Museums Conference: Partnerships in Practise - University of Exeter, 5 & 6 July

SWFed Conference 2017: Partnerships in Practise

University of Exeter, 5 & 6 July 2017

Tickets available here: www.swfed.org.uk/conference2017

Experts from leading organisations in the heritage sector and beyond, including the National Trust, The National Archives, and Plymouth Dance will be coming together to speak at this year’s SWFed Conference in Exeter. They will be sharing tips and useful insights on partnership working, using a variety of case studies, talks and workshops. It will be a fantastic opportunity for people working in or with the heritage and arts sectors in the South West to learn, share, and network.

Sustaining organisations in this tough and uncertain economic climate is becoming increasingly challenging for many. As with all things, a challenge can often become an opportunity and increasingly there is strength to be found in working together, pooling resources, and developing projects and strategies that enable us to meet our goals and provide for our audiences and collections.

The conference explores and showcases examples of successful ‘partnerships in practise’, giving a chance to learn from others experience. Through presentations, interactive workshops and networking opportunities we will be sharing skills and knowledge from museums and potential partners such as archives, archaeologists, libraries and artist practitioners from across the region.

To find out more and to book your place, please visit www.swfed.org.uk/conference2017  - Early Bird tickets are available, and there are ticket options for the full two days or just one of those days.

"Archives and museums have much to offer each other. I believe this conference will be a great opportunity to share ideas and expertise" - Tim Powell, The National Archives
