Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

Participant Call-out for AWE2018 Project: The Advice Bank

Have your words and ideas used to create a piece of public art!

This October I won a commission to create a piece of public art for next year's Art Week Exeter, 22-28 May 2018.

My pitch was to develop a project revolving around logging advice from residents of Exeter, to make freely available as a resource for when you just need a word of wisdom. It'll be kind of like the listening project but without the subtext.

What do you mean by advice?

Well, any useful tips you have learned over your life, whether profound, minuscule, funny, bizarre, universal or situation-specific. It could to start a pension young, to double tie your shoelaces, to call in sick more, to meditate in the mornings, or to visit the Eden project. The other thing I am interested in recording is the stories of how people came to learn, give or receive this advice.
