Organic Arts requires a Support Worker for Community Garden Project

Role: To support the project co-ordinator on two day long sessions with up to 20 disadvantaged adults throughout the year doing gardening, site maintenance and creative activities.

About organicARTS: organicARTS is an educational charity based at West Town Farm, a working organic farm in Ide on the outskirts of Exeter. Our strap line is ‘involving you in creative, farm-based learning for a healthy future’. Our objects are to educate the public about farming, the environment and rural issues and the arts and we work with different ages and abilities. Our activities include the community garden, educational visits, creative activities with natural materials, open days and walks. Our income is divided almost equally between grants and donations, and earned income.

Pay: £4500 per year for 2 days per week (Wed & Fri), between the hours of 10.30am and 3.30pm – this is a 5 year project.

 

Where: Based at West Town Farm, Ide nr Exeter EX2 9TG
