News about Women Of the World Festival in Exeter

On International Women's Day 2017 it's appropriate that Women of the World has issued advance press information.

Preparation is now underway for 'WOW - Women of the World Exeter'.   It takes place in the city from 13-15 October in partnership with Southbank Centre in London.

In planning for WOW, Exeter coordinators Debbie Bucella and Chloe Whipple are organising open events - 'ThinkIns'. These take place in April as below:

Monday 3 April 10.30am - 12.30am The Boatshed, Maclaines Warehouse, Haven Road, EX2 8GR *This ThinkIn will be BSL interpreted

Tuesday 4 April 6.30pm - 8.30pm Exeter Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Gandy Street, EX4 3LS

Saturday 8 April 10.30am - 12.30pm Exeter Library, Castle Street, EX4 3PQ

Exeter is one of five cities in the UK to receive funding from independent funding body Spirit of 2012 to create new WOW festivals in the run up to 2018, the centenary of female suffrage in the UK.  More details at wow.southbankcentre.co.uk
