Needs assessment for new Exeter entertainment venue gets underway

Work has commenced on a needs assessment for a new entertainment venue in Exeter.  As reported previously by local media, and mentioned here, Exeter City Council and partners have been consulting on this issue.  This involved the City Council setting up a New Entertainment Venue Advisory Group and undertaking an open tender over the winter for external advisors to complete the assessment work. The council has appointed the external advisors Fourth Street to carry out a needs assessment for a new 1,000 seat minimum capacity venue.  Fourth Street will analyse current and future demand for different facilities, provision and potential opportunities and funding. It will report back to City Councillors and the New Entertainment Venue Advisory Group.  More details can be found on here: Exeter City Council news
