Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY WORKSHOP

Wednesday 18th October 1-4pm at Exeter Community Centre

Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) takes place on 27 January each year, and is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution, and in the subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Each year HMD develops a theme.  The annual theme for HMD 2018 is The power of words, and it encourages people to think about how language has been used both in the past and in the present day, and the impact this can have, whether good or bad.

We are holding a free Workshop at Exeter Community Centre on Wednesday 18th October from 1-4pm. The workshop will offer support, advice and resources for people wishing to hold an event or activity for Holocaust Memorial Day 2018.

People attending will get insight into this year's theme, life stories and resources, and have a chance to network and share ideas with other local activity organisers.

To book a place, or places if you have colleagues or friends who would like to attend too, please click on the following link:

If you would like to know more about Holocaust Memorial Day or are interested in organising an HMD event or activity please don’t hesitate to contact Mary-Anne Edwards at maryanne.southwest@hmd.org.uk.
