Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

Exeter Cultural Partnership is looking for a Culture Director. This is an opportunity for an exceptional cultural leader.

The City of Exeter – with a growing population and a decreasing average age – boasts a vibrant cultural sector. A leading touring theatre company – Theatre Alibi; a multi-award winning studio theatre specialising in new work– the Bike Shed: a studio producing extraordinary live experiences – Kaleider; a multi media arts and innovation centre – Exeter Phoenix; Museum of the Year – the Royal Albert Memorial Museum; a rejuvenated midscale theatre – the Exeter Northcott; a culturally engaged and community focused professional football team – Exeter City; a leading Premiership Rugby Club – Exeter Chiefs, and many, many more progressive and exciting groups and organisations. Add to this a top ten University, a nationally recognized library and a City Council with proven commitment to arts, sport & culture and you have all the ingredients necessary for an exciting future.

It will be your job as Culture Director to harness this coalition of the willing, helping us to make a step change in our strategic impact; overseeing planning and implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy and growing our partnerships beyond the sector. Exeter Cultural Partnership is looking for a Culture Director with ambition and energy, able to make a real difference.
