White Moose, 'Hand to Hand' exhibition

White Moose, Barnstaple is holding a ceramics exhibition, 'Hand to Hand' by Sue Rossiter until July 30th.

Based on Sue's research project into the significant glove industry across North Devon. The project is Arts Council funded and includes talks and workshops and various days when Sue will be in the gallery informally to chat about her findings and the work inspired by this.

UNESCO recognition for the Exeter Book

In case anyone has missed this news: the tenth century Exeter Book in the guardianship of Exeter Cathedral has been granted UNESCO Memory of the World status.  The award will be presented tonight - 21 June 2016 - at the Senedd, the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff.  The Exeter Book is an anthology of poetry in Old English, written c 970 and is one of only four surviving major poetic manuscripts in Old English. Winners of THG Open 2016 announced

Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG), Honiton has announced the winning artworks in their popular Summer exhibition the ‘THG Open 2016’..

Out of a record-breaking 185 entries, 93 artworks were chosen to be exhibited at the gallery. All the finalists’ artworks are now on show at THG where the prize winners were announced at the exhibition opening.
