Engaging, empowering, energising culture in Exeter

Art Week Exeter 13-21 May 2017: The 60/60 Project #42 Molly Rooke

Art Week Exeter’s purpose is to widen access to, and participation in, the diverse forms of contemporary and traditional art in Exeter. 2017 is AWE’s second year.

Bringing together professional and amateur, student and established artists, we seek to promote and support artists and organisations working together. The upshot, we hope, is that Exeter is nationally recognised as a destination city for art lovers and the culturally curious.

AWE was constituted as a Community Interest Company in September 2016. It has a board of four members and takes direction from a wide range of associates and participant-led groups. We are indebted to Exeter Cultural Partnership, Visual Arts South West, Exeter Visual Arts Forum and the Creative Hub for their support. The event is funded by Exeter City Council, with additional corporate sponsorship.
